So I wanted a place online where I could share some of my thoughts on web development and business analysis. My first reflex was to start planning, designing and developing a website. But I tried that strategy several times before. It always resulted in an unfinished concept on my laptop.

Inspired by a post of Jen Simmons I decided not to do that. I just did what was necessary to publish a website.

There were some requirements for the website. The content should belong to me. So no hosting on Tumblr or another blog-as-a-service platform. And it should be a static site. First of all so I don’t have to worry about security holes in my CMS. But also because I wanted to learn about static site generators like Jekyll.

So here it is. Ready to be improved incrementally.
